The package includes 1× Begin module (SOPGWL0310), 1× End module (SOPGWL0417), 2× Between modules (SOPGWL0298), wires for cell connection, and 2× current sensors (500 A) for independent monitoring of input and output currents.


BMS123 Smart is a fully modular system. Each battery cell is equipped with a small-sized PCB. Three types of cell circuit boards are needed for installation. One Begin board installed on the first cell, one End board installed on the last cell, and a regular board on each cell between the first and last cell.

For a battery pack composed of 4 cells (12 V), you only need one Begin module, one End module, and two regular cell modules.

For larger batteries (24 V, 48 V, etc.), simply start with a complete set (4 cells) and easily add additional common cell modules, which will be installed on additional cells between the first and last cell. This way, you can easily create a complete system for any number of cells!

Example battery configurations:

  • 24 V pack (with 8 LiFePO4 cells): BMS123 Smart - the complete set includes 4 cells (1× First IN, 1× Last OUT, 2× Single CM); for an additional 4 cells, you just need to purchase 4 more Single Cell (CM) modules.
  • 48 V pack (with 16 LiFePO4 cells): For an additional 12 cells, simply purchase 12 more modules with a single cell (CM).

Example configuration for 2P4S (e.g., 12 V [2× 100 Ah]) batteries:

For this installation, you only need a 12 V BMS set again. Two parallel cells are still considered as a single cell.


Smart application BMS123

Easy installation directly at the cell level.

BMS123 Smart is truly smart: this BMS system has no main control unit! Everything is integrated directly into the cell modules. IN and OUR cell modules contain all the hardware components for the basic operation of the entire BMS system. The OUT cell module additionally collects all relevant data and transfers it via Bluetooth 4.0 LE (low power consumption) to your tablet or phone with iOS or Android system.

Access to information about your battery has never been easier. Monitor everything remotely, including daily production of photovoltaic cells, daily energy consumption, or, for example, voltage of all cells on a single screen. BMS123 Smart and Victron

In addition to connecting one of the Victron Energy lithium battery systems to a Multi or Quattro device, it is possible to connect a system from another manufacturer. In most installations, battery management systems (BMS) supplied with a specific type of lithium battery system will need to have control over the charging and discharging of batteries. Generally, they will want to stop the charging process when the maximum cell voltage rises above a certain threshold, and they will also want to turn off the load that discharges the battery when the minimum cell voltage drops below its threshold.
