The controller for mounting in the distribution board optimizes the matching of the boiler heating coil resistance and photovoltaic panels to ensure the most efficient energy acquisition from the panels. It is placed between the solar panel and the boiler heating coil.
The controller can redirect voltage from the panels to another device on the DC output for further use. It can also switch (via an external relay) voltage from the AC output to a second device after disconnecting the first. Additionally, it is capable of switching (via an external contactor) the power supply of the device from the panels to the grid if sufficient solar energy is not available.
The output voltage is alternating current, allowing the controller to be used with a standard boiler with an AC heating coil.
The controller can be used wherever there is a need to maximize energy gain from photovoltaic panels powering electric heating elements (storage heaters, boilers, TUV tanks) in houses, apartments, recreational properties, restaurants, schools, and businesses. The controller uses pulse-width modulation, which may cause a slight buzzing of the boiler heating coil that could disturb the peace in rooms where the boiler is located.
The inverter is equipped with an LED panel that informs the user about the current status of the inverter.
