Module is designed for protecting individual LiFePO4 cells against overcharging and undercharging. Modules can be connected to battery cells to provide basic protection for 12V, 24V, 48V systems, etc.
Features:
Function Description
If the cell voltage is within the allowed range (2.6V to 3.8V), the output relay of the module is connected to COM - NO, and the signal LED flashes at approximately 3s intervals. If the cell voltage falls or rises outside the allowed range, the relay switches to the COM - NC position, and the LED stops flashing. At the same time, the module disconnects from the battery cell, meaning it no longer discharges the battery with its own consumption.
Possible Applications:
Application Examples:
Basic Battery Protection – Circuit Breaker with Voltage Trigger
One of the simplest battery protections at the single-cell level with zero own consumption, which also serves as protection against short circuits and manual disconnection of the battery, for example, during extended periods of inactivity. If the voltage on any battery cell drops below 2.60V or rises above 3.80V, the relay on the respective BMS unit switches to the NC position, and the voltage trigger (connected to the circuit breaker) turns off the battery power output.
Basic Battery Protection and Monitoring – DC Relay and Energy Monitor
An example of more complex battery management with operational and safety disconnect and state monitoring. If the voltage on any battery cell drops below 2.6V or rises above 3.8V, the relay on the respective BMS unit switches to the NC position and interrupts the series connection circuit of the BMS via the COM - NO contacts. The SS relay loses power and disconnects the power circuit. Safety and service galvanic disconnection of the battery is performed with a central switch. The energy monitor allows you to monitor the battery voltage, current flow direction, and battery capacity (SoC - State of Charge).
