XtendLan ADR-MPO-B

MPO adapter for installation in fiber optic distribution frame. For singlemode and multimode fibers, without restriction on the number of fibers in the MPO connector. Black color. The adapter keys are facing the same direction on both sides, i.e., on one side it is oriented upward, and on the other side also upward. The adapter is designed for insertion into a panel opening for a simplex SC connector (so-called "SC footprint", same as LC duplex opening). It has a snap-in latch for the opening and flanges for screw mounting.

When designing, keep in mind how the polarity of the entire link changes with this adapter. That is, when connecting two patch cables of the same polarity type, their polarity will change.

Examples:
When connecting two patch cables with polarity type B using a type B adapter, the overall polarity changes to type B.
When connecting two patch cables with polarity type A using a type B adapter, the overall polarity changes to type A.
When connecting three patch cables with polarity type B using two type B adapters, the overall polarity of the link is type B.
When connecting three patch cables with polarity type A using two type B adapters, the overall polarity of the link is type A.
etc.

Note that most commonly, for interconnecting QSFP+ modules, you need the overall polarity to be type B (i.e., fiber order reversed once).

Only this adapter can also be used for singlemode MPO cables with APC polishing where the polishing angle is the same for both male and female types, as otherwise these angled connectors cannot be optically connected! Conversely - it cannot be used for singlemode MPO cables with APC polishing where the polishing angle is opposite for male and female types!
