PLANET IPM-8222

PLANET IPM-8222 is an eight-port IP power manager in a 1U rack form factor designed for remote power management and monitoring of network devices via a web interface and SNMP.

The device features 8 independently controlled IEC320 C13 outlets with a maximum current of 10 A per outlet and a total power capacity of up to 3,800 W. Each outlet can be controlled individually locally and remotely, with configurable power-on sequencing, delay, and threshold values for automatic shutdown when the current limit is exceeded. The LED panel displays voltage, current, temperature, humidity, and the device's IP address in real time.

The integrated 16 A circuit breaker protects connected devices against overload. The built-in temperature and humidity sensor enables environmental monitoring without external sensors. Power scheduling and remote rebooting of devices such as switches, routers, or IP cameras reduces the need for physical presence in the server room or rack enclosure.

Energy Consumption Management
The device monitors energy consumption in real time and provides readings of voltage, current, power in watts, and total consumption in kWh per outlet. The zero meter clearing function and PDU consumption statistics simplify energy balance management.

Security and Access Management
IPM-8222 supports IP filtering to restrict access from unauthorized addresses, multi-level user accounts, and optional front panel button locking to protect against unauthorized physical tampering. Firmware can be updated via the network.

Integration into Network Environments
The device is compatible with the PLANET Smart Discovery Utility and the universal PLANET network management system, which enables remote monitoring of the operational status of all connected PDUs. Supported protocols include TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, NTP, DHCP, and Ping.
