Dahua VDKB01-BB

Battery-powered Wi-Fi video doorbell Dahua VDKB01-BB with 4 Mpx resolution, ultra-wide 180° fisheye lens and wireless indoor chime for a complete cable-free entry control solution.

The video doorbell captures images with a 1/3.11" CMOS sensor at a maximum resolution of 2048 × 2048 px and a field of view of 180° × 180°, covering the entire area in front of the door with no blind spots. Night operation is provided by 2 IR LEDs with a range of up to 10 m, complemented by a night orientation light. Video is compressed using the efficient H.265 codec with a bitrate of 32–2048 kbps.

Integrated AI detection distinguishes people and vehicles, detects suspicious loitering in a defined zone, and identifies the presence or removal of packages. The doorbell connects to Wi-Fi 6 networks (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), with initial pairing done quickly via Bluetooth. The built-in battery with a capacity of 10,000 mAh (36 Wh) ensures long-term operation, with power consumption dropping to 0.004 W in standby mode. Recordings can be stored locally on a microSD card with a capacity of up to 512 GB.

Wireless chime
The included indoor chime is mains-powered (100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz) and communicates with the video doorbell at a frequency of 868–868.6 MHz via one-way wireless communication with a range of up to 100 m in open space. The chime's power consumption is less than 3 W. One chime can be paired with multiple video doorbells simultaneously, and conversely – multiple indoor chimes placed throughout the home can be assigned to a single doorbell. The indoor chime works even during Wi-Fi outages.

Doorbell power and connectivity
The video doorbell can be powered via USB (5 V DC ± 5%, 2 A) through a USB-C connector, or by hardwired connection via a terminal block (12–24 V DC / 8–24 V AC, 1 A). Initial network pairing is done via Bluetooth without the need to manually enter a password.
